This is an award given out by many of the Optimist International
Clubs around the world. Each Optimist
Club forms their own criteria.
The Optimist Club of Hamilton criteria:
It is awarded to a student that
is a SENIOR at Hamilton Central School.
One that is a model student, in the sense of strong effort, but not necessarily
achievement
A student, who possesses the qualities of kindness, thoughtfulness and good sportsmanship
A student who has overall good citizenship
In a sense, a student who best represents our Optimist Creed
The Optimist Creed
Promise Yourself-
To be so strong
that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To look at the sunny side of everything and
make your optimism come
